Group process action
- Rename the group Promotion Group.
- Aware that much of what we do may overlap with committee functions (marketing, publicity, community projects). Important to coordinate.
- Arrange to meet someone from Tideswell/how has their marketing turned round? Explore University of Huddersfield marketing.
- Also need to get committee behind group so that singers more likely to back us.
Selling
- further £96 since HTH concert. Notebooks going well.
- action – continue to be clear which concerts we are selling at. Homestart, Scarborough, Ghent, Parkinson’s concert, St Buryen’s (Christ Church)
Stall
- feedback from DW. Broad agreement that it went well despite being upstairs.
- action – book well in advance (explore ‘food and drink’ festival)
- think regularly, not just concerts, ? 4 per year
- try for better location within the market or show
- other locations: ‘grand depart’, ‘food and drink’, arts festival, folk festival, Honley/Emley/Beaumont Park shows, Totties, Brooklands, christmas garden centres. ? wider area such as Halifax, ? vinery, think about raising money with a partner (charity at the Coop)
- Incorporate live singing – choir train, flashmob, short set small choir at a stall
- Prominent logo signage RC
- Drinks, snacks, seating (explore buns with logo DW)
- Go ahead with shopping bags DW
- Re order business cards
- Share stall with sponsor ?others
- New amp will take feed from most electronic devices
Friends
- 6 fully paid up plus 1 in the pipeline. Christmas card, diary and christmas concert tickets given out.
- action – stop the standing order. Best to collect by cash.
- Twice yearly newsletter, Christmas and June, one sheet A4, start 2014
- Invite to dinner dance, but not free ticket
